An alliance of current and future users of GIS within Ramsey County, the Ramsey County GIS User Group is a leader in the nation for exemplifying the cooperation between County and municipalities.

The group was the winner of a Governor's Council on Geographic Infomation Award in 2003, and continues to win accolades as one of the best in the US.

Formed in 1995, RCGISUG has grown to include some nineteen organizations throughout Ramsey County. RCGIGUS operates autonomously, and is the distribution mechanism for GIS data generated by Ramsey County.
